Italians L O V E their country!

Italians LOVE their country.
Not only do they all seem to be very proud of the country they are from,
also, each seems to believe that their region is the most beautiful.
Perhaps that is one the reasons Italians don't seem to travel a whole lot.
When you live in what you feel is the most beautiful country in the world...what's the point? Right?

By the way, according to my personal little survey, when Italians do travel to the U.S.
they go to New York, Miami and San Francisco...

L'Aperegina is an Agriturismo in the region of Abruzzo in Italy...
Most of us Americans, are not familiar with the term Agriturismo...
It is a working farm that is also a B&B.
This deck is a great place to take in the birds singing and the tranquility of this place.

This is the beautiful view from one of the places where you can stay...

Ok...
Time to make pizza from scratch...
I was sent to find the rosemary.  Um...this is rosemary right?
I took a good sniff and when it smelled like my favorite conditioner, "Rosemary Mint",
I was pretty sure I wasn't going to embarrass myself...

The owner of L'Aperegina, Marino, makes the pizza crust.  He is an expert.
First he kneaded the doe, then he chops off a chunk and weighs it on the scale.

Fresh ingredients on the pizza, including a good dose of the best olive oil in the world...
The region of Abruzzo is well known for growing fresh, healthy food.

This is the results of everyone's efforts to create these delicious pizzas.
Some of the toppings include, caramelized onions, zucchini, sliced potatoes, peppers
...and that rosemary I picked :)
.... and of course the most delicious Italian made cheese!
delizioso!

...more soon!

Arrivederci!
